Open infrastructure
for biological research.
AtriumLabs operates a network of low-cost, BSL-1 (BSL-2 at future locations) wet labs for founders, academics-in-exile, bio-citizens, and small teams who need a real bench — without a university or a Series A.
The bottleneck isn't ideas.
It's bench access.
A garage was enough to start a software company. A wet lab is not. Pipettes, a fume hood, autoclave time, a –80°C freezer, and compliant disposal — together they put the cost of asking a biological question above what most independent researchers can justify.
AtriumLabs exists to collapse that cost. We build and operate shared, code-compliant lab space at the lowest sustainable price, and centralize the boring infrastructure so residents can spend their hours on science.
How the model works →A bench, the boring stuff handled, and a network.
Bench at $200 / mo
Code-compliant BSL-1 wet bench, shared equipment, EH&S-managed waste, autoclave access. BSL-2 capacity at planned future sites.
Free starter consumables
Every new resident receives a starter kit — tips, tubes, gloves, basic media — so day one is bench day, not a purchase order.
Centralized procurement
One platform, network-wide volume. Order from major suppliers at negotiated rates. Buy basics on site, at our cost.
Priced as access,
not as real estate.
Comparable private incubators charge $1,500–$4,500 per bench per month. We are a non-profit; our number reflects cost-recovery, not margin extraction.

We're preparing to open in June.Become an inaugural resident.
Resident demand is the strongest signal we can show funders and municipalities. Indicating interest is non-binding and takes a minute.
